Lay Elders

The lay elders are a team of committed Christians drawn from the Aldeburgh Church congregation who are commissioned to support the pastoral work of the clergy team.
They visit parishioners, lead some services, and offer their time and expertise freely to the church as they live out their Christian faith in the community. They are commissioned in their work by the Bishop. Anyone who is baptised and confirmed, a regular communicant, in good standing in the local Church and community, and able to fulfil the tasks of an Elder, may be considered for this ministry.
